Sigilock

Secure cameraLive in it.

Straight intothe vault.

Hiding a photo after you take it leaves a window open: the camera roll, the cloud backup, the Recently Deleted album. Sigilock’s camera closes it by never putting the photo there.

How it works

  1. 01

    Open the camera

Inside your vault, tap Add, then Take Photo or Record Video.

  2. 02

    Shoot

Take the photo or record the video, with sound if you allow the microphone.

  3. 03

    Sealed on capture

Each shot is encrypted into the vault and the temporary copy is deleted right away.

The problem with hiding photos afterwards

A photo taken with the regular camera starts its life in your library. Within seconds it may be uploaded to iCloud Photos or Google Photos, shown in widgets and memories, and copied to your other devices. Moving it to a vault later, and deleting the original, still leaves it in Recently Deleted or the cloud trash for weeks.

Taking it inside Sigilock skips all of that. The photo goes from the camera into the vault, encrypted, and the temporary copy the camera made is deleted immediately.

Photos and videos, with sound

The secure camera takes photos and records video. Sigilock asks for camera access the first time, and for the microphone only if you want sound in your videos. Nothing is processed anywhere but on the phone.

Never in your gallery

Nothing lands in your camera roll or photo library.

Never in cloud backups

Photos that never reach your library are never uploaded by iCloud or Google Photos.

Encrypted at once

The vault seals each photo the moment you take it.

When it matters
Photographing an ID, a document or something personal? Shoot it in Sigilock and there is no copy to find in your gallery, your cloud backup or your recently deleted photos.

Secure camera, answered.

More questions? See Support or read how the security design fits together.

Do photos taken in Sigilock appear in iCloud Photos or Google Photos?

No. They are never saved to your photo library, so photo backup services never see them.

Can I move a photo from the vault back to my gallery?

Yes. You can export any item and save it to Photos whenever you choose.

What about photos already in my gallery?

Import them, and turn on Remove originals after import in Settings so Sigilock asks to delete them from your library once they’re encrypted.

Can I record video with sound?

Yes. Allow microphone access when Sigilock asks, and videos you record include sound.

Is the photo saved anywhere before it’s encrypted?

Only for an instant. The camera hands Sigilock a temporary file, which is encrypted into the vault and deleted right away.

Does the vault lock while I’m taking a photo?

No. Opening the camera from inside Sigilock doesn’t count as leaving the app, so the vault stays open until you’re done.
