Words worthlocking up.

Some of the most sensitive things on your phone aren’t photos. Notes in Sigilock live inside the vault, encrypted like everything else and nowhere near your regular notes app.

How it works

  1. 01

    Write

Inside your vault, tap Add, then Secure Note.

  2. 02

    Find it again

Search covers note text too, once your vault is open.

  3. 03

    Sealed

Notes are kept in the encrypted vault. Nothing is synced or uploaded.

Why not your regular notes app

Regular notes sync to the cloud, show up in search across your phone, appear in widgets and are a few taps away for anyone holding your unlocked phone. Even locked notes usually open with your phone’s passcode.

Sigilock notes live inside a vault. They are encrypted in the vault’s index, open only with that vault’s sigil or recovery phrase, and never leave the phone.

What people keep in them

Codes and combinations, the spare-key hiding place, backup codes for important accounts, medical details, a private journal, the story behind a photo. Anything you would never leave on a sticky note. Notes sit next to your photos and files, and show up in the vault’s search.

Searchable

Search note text alongside your photos and files.

Encrypted

The same AES-256 protection as everything else in the vault.

Per vault

Each vault has its own notes, so a decoy can have harmless ones.

When it matters
The spare-key hiding place, the alarm code, the backup codes for your email account: things you’d never leave in a notes app that syncs everywhere.

Encrypted notes, answered.

More questions? See Support or read how the security design fits together.

Are notes synced to iCloud or Google?

No. Notes stay in the encrypted vault on your phone.

Should I keep passwords in Sigilock notes?

For website logins a dedicated password manager is the better tool. Notes are ideal for codes and details that don’t fit one.

Do notes show up in search?

Yes. Once your vault is open, search matches note text as well as item names.

Can I add photos to a note?

Notes are text only. Keep related photos in the same vault, or group them in an album.

Do notes appear in my phone’s search or widgets?

No. Notes exist only inside the encrypted vault, invisible to the rest of the phone.

Can each vault have different notes?

Yes. Notes belong to the vault you write them in, so a decoy vault can have its own harmless ones.
